End products are most often solids: Rare Earth salts or oxides. From solutions obtained during purification operations, the principle consists of precipitating an insoluble salt, then separating it, drying or calcining it at high temperature, then grinding it. To obtain oxides, the precipitated salts are typically hydroxides, carbonates or oxalates
